Finding solace and inspiration at writer retreats

Writer retreats are places of solace and inspiration; a place away from distraction, where writers can regroup with their muse, and become motivated once again. It is a haven that offers a much needed setting, whether that be relaxing or not, and often it introduces other writers willing to discuss, mull over, and willingly share stories.

There are many writer retreats to choose from; in a plethora of locations throughout the U.S. and even the world, if it pleases you to travel further. In deciding which retreat would suit a desire, many elements should be considered, including budget, location and sometimes even events that may take place there.  More often than not, the manuscript that is being worked should be the determining factor. Where one writer may choose a different setting every time, another may be set on the same reliable location.
